MOUNT CRAWFORD VA (WSVA)- Seventeen months from now, Buc-ees will open the doors to its first Virginia location in Mount Crawford.

During a groundbreaking ceremony this afternoon at the site off of Exit 240 on Interstate 81, Buc-ees C-E-O Beaver Aplin the Third says that is how long construction will take on its largest, 74-thousand-square-foot “prototype” store.

Governor Glenn Youngkin was on hand to witness Virginia history. He told WSVA that folks have every right to be excited.

Youngkin added that I-81 channels 25-to-30-thousand vehicles through Rockingham County every day.
