HARRISONBURG: (WSVA)  Shenandoah National Park has closed two trails as crews continue battling a nearly two-week-old fire.
In a weekend release, spokesperson Claire Comer said that Graves Mill Trail and Wilhite Wagon Trail are both closed until further notice as firefighters work to contain the Quaker Run Fire, which started October 26th outside the park boundary.
Comer added that crews from the Virginia Department of Forestry and Department of Wildlife Resources have joined the National Park Service in fighting the now-15-hundred-acre blaze – 184 of which are on national park land.
She said the fire continues to grow, but remains within the established containment lines. No structures are currently threatened.
