One Valley festival is in the running for national recognition.

Over the weekend, the Shenandoah County Chamber of Commerce announced that Shenandoah Autumnfest was nominated for one of USA Today’s 10Best Reader’s Choice travel awards.

They said that the newspaper’s “expert panel” chose the Woodstock-based event as a competitor in its Best Fall Festival category.

Some of Autumnfest’s challengers include the Georgia Apple Festival, and the Ocean City Fall Block Party in New Jersey.

Anyone who wants to help boost Autumnfest to the top of the list can vote once a day at 10best.com/awards.

Voting closes on September 4th.
