As you scan the used car lots locally, a new analysis would tell you the prices are among some of the lowest in the country.

Harrisonburg is ranked #17 out of 202 metro areas for the least expensive cars in the nation, with an average price of $31,777 for 1- to 5-year-old used cars.  That’s seven-percent, or nearly 25-hundred dollars cheaper than the national average price of $34,227, according to an iSeeCars study.

iSeeCars analyzed over 6.5 million used cars to identify the most and least expensive best-selling models.

In Harrisonburg, the least expensive popular used vehicle is the Ram 1500.  But not everything is a deal as the study found the price of a used Chevy Malibu is 11.5% higher than the national average price.
