WOODSTOCK VA: (WSVA) – The Strasburg man charged in connection with the death of a fellow resident nearly a decade ago was supposed to have a pre-trial hearing this week. However, online records showed that the hearing for James Edgar Callahan was continued at the request of his lawyers until December 6th in Shenandoah County Circuit Court.
The 48-year-old Callahan faces three felony charges, including first degree murder and concealing a dead body.
He was arrested September 26th during a traffic stop in Front Royal after skeletal remains were found in Pennsylvania by a hiker on May 27th, 2014.
Through D-N-A sequencing, those remains were identified in February as those of Michael Allen Holober, who was 45 at the time of his death and a resident of Strasburg.
