Longtime Member of WSVA Staff Passes Away

BRIDGEWATER, Va – A longtime member of the WSVA staff passed away this week.

Charles Ellsworth Neff was a member of the first graduating class of Turner Ashby High School in 1957.

He then began working as an engineer for WSVA Radio and television in 1960 and kept those stations on the air for 50 years until his retirement in 2009.

He died on Monday at the age of 84.

A memorial service will take place Saturday afternoon at three at Bridgewater Church of the Brethren on College View Drive.
