Sentara R-M-H’s Hahn Cancer Center received a sizable donation last week from a local group to help it fund continued operations.

On Friday, the company announced that it had received 19-thousand dollars from the Twila and Larry Showalter Cancer Fund.

In what has become an annual event, the organization has now raised 75-thousand dollars for the RMH Foundation’s Hope Fund for Cancer Care.

Larry Showalter said the organization’s success has far exceeded expectations.

Sentara says the Hahn Cancer Center provides over 19-thousand treatments every year.
