Sentara Health and Harrisonburg City Public Schools are partnering to turn school registration into a one-stop shop.

In a release, the medical group said that the Community Care Center will operate out of the H-C-P-S Family Resource Center on South Main Street.

The goal is to create a place where students can register for classes and receive the shots and physicals the school division requires for attendance all in one place.

“This is a significant need for our students and families,” said April Howard, Chief Officer for Student Support, Harrisonburg City Public Schools. “We’ve been discussing this need in our community for several years. We see this as a one-stop comprehensive registration process.”

The public is invited to see the new center during an open house Wednesday afternoon from 3 until 6.
