LURAY, Va. — Shenandoah National Park has announced its schedule of fee-free days for next year.

These are the days when visitors can enter the park without paying an entrance fee. In 2024, those days will be:

  • January 15 (Martin Luther King Junior Day)
  • April 20
  • June 19
  • August 4
  • September 28
  • November 11 (Veterans Day)

While entrance fees are waived on these days, visitors may still need to cover other charges, like camping fees.

Purchases can be made online, and park officials urge visitors to print hard copies of vital information prior to arrival because of potential signal issues.
