Stanley Man Arrested After Being on Run for 6 Months

STANLEY, Va – At long last, Page County authorities report that a Stanley man that has been on the run for nearly six months has been captured.

According to a post on the department’s Facebook page, Gary Wayne Cubbage was apprehended. Details of his capture were not released.

The 32-year-old Cubbage was wanted on drug charges.

He and 34-year-old James Craig Waybright of Luray were wanted back in February.

Waybright was arrested in June and is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow for a status hearing after being indicted earlier this month on four charges, including child abuse.
