Strasburg VA: The Town of Strasburg has once again declared a Drought Emergency Condition as rainfall continues to come at a premium in the Valley.
For the second time this year, the town is requiring residents and businesses to conserve water in as many ways as possible.
In a release, Strasburg town manager Waverly Coggsdale said that the restrictions apply to most non-essential water usage, like watering lawns and hand-washing vehicles.
Restaurants are also barred from serving water unless a customer specifically requests it, and residents are asked to limit showers to no more than 10 minutes per day.
Coggsdale adds that these are mandatory restrictions, and violators will be subject to penalties.
