HARRISONBURG VA: (Rocktown Now) – Warm and humid air will continue to lead to afternoon and evening thunderstorms today. While the chance for storms remains high, the chances will decrease as the week progresses. Today brings partly sunny skies with a growing chance of showers and thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon and evening, followed by patchy fog overnight as moisture lingers. The National Weather Service says scattered severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds and isolated instances of flash flooding are possible this afternoon and evening.

Wednesday stays partly sunny and humid, with a chance of afternoon thunderstorms after early‑morning fog. Thursday trends mostly sunny but still carries a slight chance of a late‑day storm. By Friday, conditions turn more unsettled again with a chance of showers and thunderstorms throughout the day, and Saturday continues that theme with a slight chance of showers, or a storm as warm, moist air remains in place.
