FOREST, Va. – Riley Corcoran, Jay Garcia and Jaiden Polston of the Bridgewater College women’s basketball team have been named to the Old Dominion Athletic Conference’s all-conference teams.

Corcoran earned a spot on the first team, Garcia was named to the second team and Polston earned her first All-ODAC nod with a third team selection.

A now four-tie All-ODAC honoree, Corcoran earned her first nod to the league’s top team. The senior is currently tearing up the program record book as she has climbed into the top 10 in points and free throws made and set the program record for free throws made in a single season so far this season. The Chapel Hill, N.C. native leads the ODAC in free throws made (135) and ranks second in points per game (18.5 ppg) in the league while ranking in the top 40 nationally in each category. Her historic season also has her among the program leaders in single season points scored and field goals made, while also being a key piece of the ODAC’s top scoring defense.

Garcia has been one of the league’s best post presences on both the offensive and defensive ends this season. The senior’s blend of offense and defense has seen her tally 11 double-doubles as she too continues to climb the program leaderboards. The Harrisonburg, Va. native has rose to fifth in program history in rebounds and is nearing the 750 career rebound mark in her career. Her senior season has also cracked the top 10 in program history on the glass in single-season rebounds, while also ranking second in the ODAC in defensive rebounds.

Polston’s junior season has been a break out campaign to say the least. Polston has started all 26 games for the Eagles and leads BC with a 56.7% clip from the field. The Stephens City, Va. native’s 2.9 offensive rebounds per game ranks fifth in the ODAC, while her 1.1 blocks per game is also among the league’s leaders. Polston has nearly doubled her production all the way across the board from a season ago as she has averaged 10.6 points and 7.4 rebounds per game en route to her first all-conference recognition.

BC is back in action on Saturday in the ODAC Semifinals at the Civic Center. The Eagles take on second-seeded Randolph-Macon at 4:30 p.m.
