Dukes ranked No. 20 in Inside Lacrosse KANE Preseason Media Poll

HARRISONBURG, Va. (JMU Athletics) – James Madison lacrosse checks in at No. 20 in the 2026 Inside Lacrosse (IL) KANE Preseason Media Poll, the outlet announced on Monday.

The KANE Women’s DI Media Poll is voted on by media members across the country and runs every Monday during the season.

The Dukes are coming off their first American Women’s Lacrosse title, finishing 14-5 overall and earning their tenth straight bid to the NCAA Tournament. JMU finished at No. 17 in the coaches’ poll last season.

James Madison will open its season with a pair of matchups at Sentara Park, hosting the defending national champions, No. 1 North Carolina, on Saturday, Feb. 7, at noon, and Virginia Tech on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 4 p.m.
