BALTIMORE, Md. (EMU Athletics) – EMU Field Hockey wrapped up a three-game road trip on Wednesday, heading to the outskirts of Baltimore for a showdown with Goucher College.

Aarin McIntosh, a first-year from Drexel Hill, Pa., scored her first career college goal, but it was in defeat as the host Gophers defeated the Royals by a final of 8-1.

Highlights
• Goucher got the scoring started early with two first quarter goals, one each for Camden West and Vivian Onunga. Renata Videki, who was getting her first collegiate start in goal, picked up three saves in the period.
• Onunga picked up where she left off in the first quarter with a goal in the second quarter at the 20:01 mark. The Gophers then rattled off three more goals in a span of less than a minute to take firm control of the game with a 6-0 halftime lead.
• Goucher extended their lead to 8-0 in the third quarter with two more tallies, despite four saves from Teresa Green, who came in to start the third quarter.
• With just 4:56 left in the game, McIntosh got a shot into the cage off of an assist from Kaylin Ozuna to help the Royals avoid the shutout.

What’s Next
EMU Field Hockey will finally be back home this Saturday, Oct. 3, when they host Meredith College. Game time against the Avenging Angels is set for 1:00 pm.
