HARRISONBURG, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – The Harrisonburg Northwest Neighborhood is hosting an open house Thursday afternoon to discuss plans for Quarry Heights and the Redevelopment of the Frazier Quarry.

The hearing will be at Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community’s Detwiler Auditorium on Virginia Avenue from 4 to 7 p.m. On-site parking will be available.

Frazier Quarry has been seeking a special use permit that would allow them to expand operations at its facility on Buttermilk Creek Road. However, residents in that area have expressed concerns about the noise and increased traffic that would come with the expansion.
