FRANKLIN WV: (Rocktown Now) – A suspect is now in custody after a delivery driver was shot last week in Pendleton County.

According to the Pendleton County Sheriff’s Department the shooting happened on January 9th as the driver was returning to Harrisonburg after making a delivery in Franklin, West Virginia. The victim was hit in the arm while traveling along Route 33 near the Virginia–West Virginia line.

The investigation was initially slowed because it took time to determine exactly where the shooting occurred and which agency had jurisdiction.

After coordinating with West Virginia State Police, the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office, Harrisonburg Police, and members of the public, investigators confirmed the shooting took place on the West Virginia side of Shenandoah Mountain.

Deputies say they obtained a warrant and have made an arrest, but they are not releasing the suspect’s identity or additional details at this time.
